mike: i'm checking with one of my litigation partners ( i do transactional work, e.g., licensing, joint ventures, startups, etc.; i don't end up in court - unless, of course, i'm the defendant), but i'm not sure the set top boxes might not be held liable for contributory infringement if nothing else, altho a patent holder tends to want to go after the infringer and not the contributory infringer. at any rate, let me check and get back to you. i'm out of the country for 1-1/2 weeks tho, starting tomorrow. best, red jinn
