Amy, I read somewhere that 2/3 of IPOs trade at or below its IPO price 6 months after it becomes public. Unless you can get in at or below the IPO price (e.g. first couple of rounds of financing), I find its a bad strategy to chase an IPO the first couple days after it goes public (unless you want to "flip" it, of course). Be patient, and the price will ultimately come down near or at its IPO price, even for the good companies. @home and Marimba are 2 good examples.
