Engineer, I just got a thin phone. Is there any chance you can tell me how to put it in "debug mode" or whatever it's called. (On my old phone, if I typed "111-111" I would get a special option that I selected, entered the password "040793", and then I could see the debug info. That doesn't work on the thin phone.)

The "debug mode" would let me know the signal level (in hexadecimal) and show the number of the cell I was in. I could see when I was changing cells.
