>>RDRAM was first generation and then came Direct RDRAM<< mile, you are making my point. i have always seen "Direct RDRAM" or "DRDRAM". this is the first reference to "RDRAM-D" that i recall seeing. thought it may be a way to differentiate rambus from ddrdram. did i miss something? yes, i am aware of the old concurrent and base RDRAM. i like RDRAM-D for marketing purposes. i can see them all lined up.... sdram 100 ddrdram 133 RDRAM-D 600 RDRAM-D 700 RDRAM-D 800 kind of like coca-cola... coke diet coke decaf coke decaf diet coke, etc. unclewest i'll have a hot dog a decaf diet coke and 2 RDRAM-D 800's to go please.
