I got the DVD decoder software for my V3 yesterday. So hang on, it is coming. WinDVD is the software. Works great. Hardware motion compensation works (you still need a celeron 300a or so though to get smooth playback). Picture looks really good: qualitatively speaking the software decoding is a little less "jittery" but a little more "comb" effect than my dxr3 hardware decoder (which is very highly rated). But I'm being very picky; if you sit more than a foot away from the monitor you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. So if you have a fast enough CPU you're really not sacrificing any quality by not getting a separate hardware decoder board with a DVD player...
