I'm watching a couple stocks with solid bases that look like they might be ready to break out:

CD has built a base within a base. First breakout would be at $20.50, the second about 10% higher than that. It belongs to the "retail - mail order" industry group, currently with a RS rank of 70 (B). IBD numbers are 82/66/B/A/A. The company is in the middle of a dutch auction buyback of shares.

JMED working nicely out of an 8-month base on strong volume and an upgrade. IBD puts it in the "medical - ethical drugs" group, which has a pitiful RS rank of 30. The IBD numbers are 95/57/D/A/B.

Other stocks in promising bases are ATMI, MTD, AMFM, AMAT.

It is funny to see sparky post on the CHNG board on Yahoo, apparently trying to move another thin issue. Now some nasty allegations have appeared on the CHNG site, regarding Mark Scott and Sparky. I have no idea if the allegations are true, but they certainly are worth the reading. You have to wonder about sparky's "trading", as this stock certainly shows no signs of life. This of course makes one wonder if he is indeed trying to pump it.
