OK, Devil, I think we agree. I actually do both. MSFT is in my long term hold. The book is all about buy and hold.

But I also trade it when the market is flatter. You can check the data, but if you buy MSFT at the end of the day, and sell at the open you will make more money on the gap than holding. Even when you take everything into consideration. Sure somedays it doesn't gap, or pulls back, but on average it gives 3/4s of a point. On 1K shares thats an average of $700 a day after expenses. Not bad for 1 hours work a day...

i traded tech stocks furiously for two years...i wish i would have
simply held them & doubled my money.
