Thread, re: Bluetooth. An add on to my post yesterday, from this week's Network Computing Magazine:

While the author states that the distance limit is 10 meters (which it will be in most cases), a 100 meter option also exists utilizing higher power (20dBm for 100 meters, as opposed to 0dBm for the shorter distance).

Also note the security issue he raises, which wasn't expressly what I had stated yesterday, but it was implied when I discussed the close proximity conditions, a la wireless LAN topologies in dense urban areas. I'll set out now to examine the local overlaps between CDMA 3G and BT, and report back if there is anything worth writing about.
