She needed the records to show she didn't spend much time on Castle Grande. She used a straw man, a junior lawyer at Rose, as a go-between anyways. The records didn't help her phony arguments. Just like how she dabbled in futures in the midst of a gubernatorial campaign by using the WSJ. She wouldn't have had the time and the WSJ didn't cover ag futures.

Of course. Someone in the WH saw them, lawyers probably. If they junked them totally, they would have been subject to future evidence of criminal obstruction.
