thank you, rarebird for weighing in with your personal investigation and discovery.

yes, it is too late. acknowledging that FACT is one of the most difficult things personally I had to square off with and do something about as the result of realizing its import.

regarding your statement: we are at fault, too, because we can't get people to listen or to care.

remember the old saying parents formerly used upon their children when they, themselves got caught not 'keeping' the family rules of conduct or behavioral expectations? the old: "DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO"

well, rarebird,i'm sorry, but "i'm not at fault, too."

I am DOING and HAVE DONE what I am saying.
my actions have spoken louder than my words for a very long lifetime.
and this ounce bloke wants me to fork over my proofs because somehow he is under the illusion that if i do it will be something he can debunk or disregard or accept.

i am NOT at fault for those who didn't or don't yet listen.

was Abraham at fault because Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed?
was Noah wrong and not the other "-ites" who outnumbered Noah and were destroyed?
was Jonah responsible for the non-listening Ninevites who outnumbered the smelly old, bleached-skin, whale-slimed prophet, who were destroyed?

this individuation thing, this individual seeking and application of truth tests
---is awesome in scope and responsibility.

no, i am not at fault. and you, rarebird aren't either.

we are NOT our brother's keeper, not in the final test of truth. we are our OWN keeper. that is the truth.

one of the new testament/covenant writings i continue to find validated in my own earth-plane experience is this dab of advice from an OLD Paul to a YOUNG Timothy, who was, bemoaning his lack of influence or impact upon the wrong thinking of his time:

hear Paul's teaching to the young timothy if you can:
"be ready always to give an answer,
to those that ask (the source of) the spirit within you
with meekness and with fear/aka respect."

timothy's 'assignment,', his personal & community responsibility, according to the wise old Paul, (who by the way had to be blinded and knocked off his horse to get his attention and change not only his 'direction' but his wrong activities as i recall)
rarebird
timothy's assigment was to be ready (and willing to) give a respectful answer
to those who took the personal time,
the personal responsibility for,
the first hand expension of effort in formulating their question,
as well as getting ther question asked.

or let me put it another way:
the questioners, the geniune truth seekers...THEY ARE MY BROTHERS, whose company i am to seek to keep.

the 'hand it overs'
the 'what is your proof'
the 'hearsay is good enough'
the 'i'm too busy to do what you did'
they are NOT going to get answers from me.

wise old paul got his 'blinding enlightenment' when he was on the road, going the wrong way, to persecute and prosecute more 'non-conformists which in this case meant 'non-jews.'

his wise, timeless advice was TIMOTHY: be ready to answer,
---not chase down the non-listening!
---not debate the timewasters!
---not point out again the previously shared cogent logic with those who dismiss it as 'emotional appeal', i.e., useless ad hominem rhetoric
---not stand on street corners
---not interrupt doing what is right hoping for a chance to 'convert' some schmuck
...
but just go about living life, ready to give the truthful answers to the sincere askers, not the time wasters.

no, rarebird,
i'd like to challenge you to rethink your 'we are at fault, too' statement.
especially in the light of old Paul and his timeless advice to the young, go-get'em Timothy.

unload the guilt for possessing answers but not convincing the masses.

thank you for writing.
