OTOTOT Rant:

Jon: Re your rant on the Fed, I would call it serious accurate obsevation. And in your line of investing no doubt important.

However, I am struck by Mike Buckley's reference to the Motley Fool as a guide to investing in individual stocks - not the AOL boards themselves nor the Fool's internet boards.

One of the basics was, concentrate on what you can do something about yourself, what is under your direct control.

These include:

Learn
Analyze
Act

The point they make is that choosing the right individual stocks is key.

Timing the overall market for buy and sell points is not only difficult but probably impossible

And don't spend much time on such "noise" as the Fed's moves. Just act within whatever parameters are available to you.

End of rant.
