Yes, NL might well be the "largest" search engine, I'm not arguing statistics, but it's probably being used by other "frontends". I've been on the Internet from way before the web was invented, and can only vaguely remember having heard about NL before.

What CMGI wants is a site that in itself brings in people, not some backend database with some minimal pay from the frontends scoring the big add money.
