I read that story. I found it deeply disturbing. But apparently the man could not stop confessing (because he is now troubled by guilt). I find that a small bright spot. Thank goodness we still have guilt- because this death was put down as crib death until the man confessed (of course there is always the possibility that he is simply unbalanced in another way- and did not do the crime but is confessing to it).

Amazon was talking of a paperback reprint coming later when I last checked. There are several rare book dealers with copies but are priced $350 and up. Kessinger online books has reasonable reprints.

If you will give me your private e-mail address I will send you URLS where much can be read online or downloaded for Acrobat reader.

Truth really is stranger than fiction. It will amaze you how the Romans carried this hoax for 2,000 years to their empire. Of couse it has had a hard time infiltrating the Eastern religions.
