Welcome aboard, Jay. The comparison is simply that consumer confidence 30 year record high levels posted today is early contrary indicator of market direction change. The mass majority is always a lagging indicator and wrong more often than right. It will take time to develop. Think opposite, like chess player Gary Kasparov, six to twenty moves ahead. Not the here and now right on the tip of nose. The old adage always holds: IF IT SOUNDS OR FEELS LIKE IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY ISN'T TRUE. PERCEPTION IS NOT ALWAYS REALITY. Best, J.T.
