To All, Rambus rallied yesterday on ramblings from an analyst. He is an awful analyst, but there are many who are even worse in the chip area. Let us just say that the analysis leaves some big gaps where logic should be inserted. He talks about progress in Rambus at Infineon, a fine chip co. which is spending Intel's money, and how MU considers Rambus their most important initiative this year (in other words, they are way behind the learning curve) He does not mention Samsung, which is the only DRAM co. ready to produce the product or the fact that the research Samsung funds itself, as opposed to bribes from Intel, is going into DDR. And, of course, he makes no mention of the final customers for this chip. But that is how "research" is done in the new pair of dimes. <g>
