Wind always seems to open up an 1/8th to a 1/4 pt every morning, and then drops. In the last week or two, I can't recall a day it hasn't done this. This reminds me of another stock I owned last year chkpf which did pretty much the same for quite awhile. I'm wondering if this is attributable to shorts working over the stock, and a lot of fear on the long side? As for all the theorizing about how the market is negatively perceiving earnings going forward, ceo hunt etc., I have a hard time agreeing with this. It was only 2 or 3 weeks ago we were in the low 20's and it could be argued that the market was seeing a lot of positives for wind going forward. Since then, other then INTS earnings disapointment, there has been no significant news, to indicate trouble for wind, atleast not that I have seen. I am tending to think this is more attributable to momentum. People may be abandoning it purely due to the fact that it is going lower every day. Another stock I own, Citrix Systems, went through a similar thing. Earlier in the year it dived from low 50's to the high 20's, it was in a tail spin for about 4 months, but has been on a tear since. Nothing really has changed in the fundamentals of the company, big bad Mr. Softie is still out there looming, waiting to squash them just like they're waiting to squash Wind, like they were going to Squash Checkpoint (chkpf) last year. IMHO, pretty much same fears, different views. I think you get the momentum going one way, people try to attribute reasons, and then this speculation then adds to the fear. I just don't see how anything has changed with Wind's future prospects in the last month. Just a few thoughts. -David
