I think you should check your history on the Aztec demise. It wasn't disease-infected blankets which did them in, but the disease-infected corpse of an African sailor of a Spanish ship who died in Mexico city... the plague went forth from his body and practically wiped the town out. Also, it wouldn't have been the first practice of germn warfare. There were seiges in ancient history where infected bodies were catapulted into cities. There was a lot of terrible behavior on the part of the settlers and explorers, there was also a lot of noble, Christ-like behavior. It's not as one-sided as the National Education Association would have you believe. FWIW andy

DD, Ya know, my ancestors were Vikings. Need I say more? Those guys raped and pillaged like nobody else in history. Do you know where the word "Berserk" came from? The "Berserkers" were Vikings that would fight a mad war wearing nothing but some face paint. I'd at least cover my jewels, ya know? The whole history of the human race is nothing more than one war after another. Look at the recent history of the United States. Since 1945 we have not fought a declared war, yet we have been in 53 combat situations and have suffered close to 120,000 casualties. We call that "peace". There is mounting evidence that Homo sapiens arose out of East Africa only 200,000 years ago and that we displaced all of the competeing hominid species. We just blew em away. There is one neanderthal skeleton found in Iraq that had the tip of an obsidian knife blade stuck in one of his ribs. No doubt, some modern human stuck that guy...probably some ancestor of OJ Simpson. The history of the Human Race unfortunately has been written by the violent tribes. I'm afraid that the "Clinton Doctrine" is a failed work before it ever gets a chance to bomb all the nasty nations into freedom and democracy. -John
