Mr. Bones, thank you for your insight. With regard to a box maker/ISP combo, I believe many are drawing analogies to the cell phone model of bundling expensive (yet subsidized) hardware with a continuous stream of monthly service fees.

Perhaps this model is appealing to box makers since their low-margin model is becoming increasingly competitive, not to mention unprofitable in CPQ's case. Since GTW initiated this bundling of ISP service w/ their boxes, others have interestingly followed (CPQ and DELL) and it seems that it is in fact the ISP revenue model that they find appealing. Box makers are realizing that they are commodity players of the future now. I don't know if this is an act of desperation on their part of if its truly going to be the basis of future revenues. I guess time will tell....
