Wayne: End of quarter may have played a part today, but I think that traders have become convinced that a 25bp move is all that's coming. Short covering also played a minor role. The only fundamental strength is expectations of strong Q2 earnings, which I believe will lead to a top mid/late July. However, fundamentals haven't been very important for some time. Those sitting on the fence were pushed by the recent action and the Sept bonds ability to rally back through 20 DMA today. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to see General Challenge, but I wasn't very impressed by Real Quiet over the weekend.
