NEW YORK, June 29 (Reuters) - "U.S. stocks posted strong gains Tuesday after signs of a slowdown in the housing sector of the economy eased concerns that the interest rate hike that is widely expected this week will be the first of many.

Analysts said investors were also looking ahead to a round of good quarterly earnings reports that will begin pouring out in July."

"The Commerce Department said sales of newly built single-family homes fell 5.1 percent last month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 888,000 from 936,000 in April. The April figure was revised lower from the 978,000 homes originally reported."

[Not here, they're all new.]

Bill, no wonder your property taxes are so high. I think the Federal Government should give home owners a break by supporting schools.
