Les, That about sums it up. The "winning of the west" was nothing more than ethnic cleansing, American Style. Personally, I think Clinton should be spending those billions on trying to make things right for the Indians, Native Americans, whatever you want to call them. However, he seems to hate them. I remember how the Whitehouse even extorted all the savings out of this one band of really poor natives in Oklahoma. They never got their land for all of the personal savings that the Indians had from their bingo hall. In fact, I understand that both Bruce Babbit and Robert Rubin are under indictment for misusing and taking the BIA trust fund. There is a story I'd like to see in the Washington Post. -John
