brad, pick an exit point and stick to it. If you're not a professional options trader (like my very good friend t2k) options will more than likely burn you if you get to tricky, start to think you've got it figured out, or think that options are easy money.

Pick a profit margin on your calls and stick to it. This can be tough, especially when the Market seems it will keep going up forever. Either way, make sure you trade out of them prior to earnings release. That's when Calls make no sense, unless your writing them.

Brad, Welcome to the thread.

You know about the usual fear of October. October calls seem risky beyond this earnings season. This year it might be more due to the Y2K (paranoia). IMHO, exit before earnings is best. If you still want to be in MSFT, buy leaps 2001 or 2002 options or just hold stock--just before earnings or even earlier.

Good Luck.
