I have been struggling with a question (well actually a lot of questions) but this one in particular. Please present an arguement for buying Japanese Government Bonds. I just cant see how they can sell them with: BOJ working to ensure the YEN does not appreciate & they pay no interest.
Finally, who do you think is buying these bonds... (I heard that the Japanese Govt had to use the pension system to buy the bonds... Sounds like a recipe for disaster,,,maybe they learned it from our success at using "social security funds" to finance govt debt...
