what did you think of the latest Business Week cover story on Berkshire. Portrayed Buffett as an egomaniac. A little disingenuous, I thought. The guy has made a lot of money for a lot of people. If he has an ego, he deserves to.

That said, the devil's advocate position on Berkshire is that a) you don't want to buy what worked best for the last ten years; and b) you don't want to buy a popular stock. On the other hand, Berkshire is a popular stock that is still not at all popular with institutional investors. That is an oxymoron if I've ever seen one. I bought Berkshire at a perfect bottom on the General RE deal in December (I credit Wayne Crimi 100% for the timing). I continue to hold Berkshire, but certain instincts tell me not to. But when I look at a 30 year chart, the same instincts would have told me not to at any time since it broke 500.
