DVB settops in China......................... asiansources.com Beijing June 28 1999 Dii Group delivers set-top boxes to the mainland New program intends to bring educational materials to mainland schools via digital video The Dii Group Inc., a leading, value-added electronics design and manufacturing service provider, has pledged to provide TV set-top boxes to DVB Holdings Ltd, a Hong Kong based electronics company that will be utilizing digital delivery technology to provide educational materials to schools throughout the mainland. Dii's web boxes will be used by DVB Holdings' new subsidiary, SilkOnNet.com Co. Ltd, in its efforts to launch an Internet-based, Chinese content media service in September, whereby the web boxes will provide Internet access and digital video digital to about 40,000 schools in China. Over 100,000 set-top boxes are expected to launch by the first 3 years. DVB Holdings will be the first company to provide educational materials to schools in the mainland China digital video digital.
