Limtex and Thread, whenever Greenspan talks, I get the same feeling I hear when others among the annoited in the Washington, DC area speak: They think they know everything. One can appreciate this arrogance only if one has lived in DC long enough to see it in operation. I lived in DC from 1941 through 1953, and worked there most recently in the late 70s and early 80s. The other part of the picture is that about six months after most people on this Board realize what should be done, the Fed will say they knew it all along!
