Richard ; and you guys hush up about changing the screen ! every
time they upgrade your in for a real pain, and sometimes I don't
know if it's an improvement.

Learn to use work arounds, I day trade and it works just fine
the way it is ; if as long as it's not over loaded or some dude
is getting a better idea and jacking it around.
-----------------

I run four browsers have two accounts and log on both, also
have live quotes from quote com running. My market orders are
normally fairly fast but could be faster , and I'v learned to
bring up the order to the confirm stage , then hold until
the bid hit's what I want using my other browser ,
you can only hold so long as youl time out; so after 3 min or
so if I don't like what's going on with my other browser
I hit cancel and re-do the order .
----------------------
BTW
If your running limit orders you can and should hit attempt
to change order when you bring up order status , as if you
cancel and put in a new one you may get both orders filled.
----------------------
Anyway
If you guys knew the hassles and problems every time the system
is upgraded you would want to keep "what works", I don't need
the whittles and bells, they have to much of that already,
and all it does is slow things up.
Live charts on quote com is worth the price, you'l make it back
easy on one or two trades , if your any good at trading.
It's $24 plus exchange fees for real time quotes..
but watching the block size and all, plus a real time chart is
like going from night to day when it comes to trading.

All I want web-broker to do is take the order when I hit the
confirm button, and keep my history file updated.
If it tries to be all things to all people it will be half assed
at taking orders , it's slow enough as it is, and the more crap
they add to it the slower the server will run and the
longer trades will take getting posted.
I hate waiting for the order screen to come up some days it's
real bad, it's just trying to hard to grind out to
much useless stuff to impress the newbies..keep it simple
and let it work "fast" I can even get my quotes else where.
All the whistle and bells will do is cost you money because
of slowing down the server.
Jim

"Also need a trading screen that allows you to "change" your order without canceling and starting over,"

Doesn't just hitting your back button work for you?

I use to complain about the same thing. I have discovered that if you enter a limit price no mater what it is the screen pops up and before you reconfirm just hit your back button and change your price, hit confirm to make your trade. It doesn't confirm until the second screen. Hope this is clear and helps.
