Skane, Good comment. From time to time, some traders are extremely hot. From time to time, the same trader is not. A smart trader will expand his trades when he is hot and contract when he is not. He will have good money management in place and protect his profits, cut losses and etc. Talking about the gut and trading. Sometimes the gut goes against the charts. As an example, I made a flipant comment to TRADER about wanting to buy 100K shares of a struggling satelite company which proposes to read our electric meters from space. I did not take that trade, but could have closed it yesterday for +1.00. As I speak, I also saw Dan Rather with a special on the dangers of "Day Trading". Evil people preying upon the uninformed. Trade for the long term and stay with your full service broker? Not the case here, I assume. Look, we all, I think know that we are at all times at risk and at odds at most times with the specialists and market professionals who have extracted their living from the public whether they have any talent or not, just because they have the house with them., period. My sense is that trading is not, certainly not for everybody, and certainly is risky, and disclaimer after disclaimer. After saying that, I must say that the future of the full service broker is at great risk. Certainly, they will survive and do well for some time. Certainly, they have done well for close to 20 years. Does not take a lot of brains to be right in the market we have had for that time. The markets likely to ensue here will require more astute investors and there will certainly be great chalenge to the individual investor. Does that have any bearing on those here. Not to the more adroit! Does the "Day Trader" need to keep his eye on the situation and watch as an example the pontifications of Mr. Greenspan--you bet!! You have suffered my ramblings before, but not to this extent--I suppose it is a reaction to "Dan Rather". I will retract to dormancy and please forgive my verbosity! P.S--For Trader --interesting pop in TKOCF today and TMAR bounced at support-- Back to lurking and hoping to have time to join soon! Jack
