o/t I had previously heard that the powers that be wanted a welfare class and tried to maintain one..down the road I wonder what is happening in people's minds who are not on welfare and who are not being paid well for their jobs..it seems as if it is human nature that as long as people have somebody else to look down at, they feel better about their position or their actions when they can point to somebody else. I could be wrong but I think whenever inflation numbers come out..the adminstration and news media points to technology productivity as the reason. I think it is primarily because of our exporting our inflation to others secondarily and first because so many workers were laid off in the previous recession and found new jobs at lower salaries so had less spending power than before..also that fear of another layout has prevented them from demanding higher wages..added that corporations have not increased wages much on the non specialized professions(ie internet and network technology would be specialized) ..so besides resentment from foreign countries,I would think a growing number of US workers are going to become more vocal down the road since they won't have anybody to make them feel better... ie further cause for inflation and government spending down the road ps(that interest rates have come down so much, it has lowered many costs for so many people which in effect is a salary increase)
