Jeff, what a loss this would be to dentistry! Here is an e-mail from Rusty on RB Here is a point by point answer to my previous, suggestion laden e-mail. Boy, aren't we getting there real fast? The idea is to mold RB to our liking, while avoiding SI's management apparent collusion with the Short Selling Bashers... "Frank - Thanks for creating the thread, I'll have more time to read it this evening and I'll be sure to post on the thread and answer questions, etc. There isalso a suggestions thread at: ragingbull.com Let me say that above all, we plan on facilitating value-added and constructive discussions. While posting volume is important for us, I'd take 1000 quality posts over 1500 marginal posts anyday. I look forward to working with you all to help improve RB and maintain the integrity of the site. I'll have one of the engineers change the description for you today. In regards to your suggestions - + a PM system - we're working on a system to allow a private messaging like capability. + composition enhancements: bold, italics, color.. - done and we're in the final stages of testing. + quick past post retrieval like on SI - done, you need to click on the posters name - we are working on the execution and display to make it more usable. + subject header to which you can easily refer like on SI - we're working on increasing the subject length to make it more intuitive. + Thorough list of do's and don'ts. You trespass once: warning. Twice: 1 week suspension. Three times, termination at IP level. - one of our most important tasks right now. + 24 Hour Hot-Line to report violations - we're moving in this direction, but we don't currently have the resources. + system to maintain self up-datable portfolio - have a working internal beta, and expect a launch in the near-term + bigger window for composing posts - should be in with the bold, italics.
