Nobody on this thread caused me to change my mind, but a few things Ish said made me reflect on a few matters, some unrelated to the flag thing. Where I attend Mass there is a Vatican flag on one side of the altar and our country's flag on the other side. The altar is where blood is shed and blood was shed under the flag on the field of battle. As I reflected on these matters it occurred to me that certain flags in certain instances deserve protection.
