"It's all a big game!"

-I'm inclined to agree.

But aside from that, this is what I've been wondering about Geac for a long time:

How can a big high-tech company have a forward P/E more appropriate to a steelmaker or brewing company? Normally a low forward P/E indicates the company is stable and unexciting. But how can that be the case for a software company? Is it because they make software for big old computer systems at big old companies, which are being squeezed out by cheaper and more flexible PC systems? Please somebody tell me they're actually hip and happening.

Question #2: What's all this about Y2K? This is the standard explanation of why the market hates Geac, but why should they be affected more than other software companies? Does this again have something to do with having a lot of big old dinosaur programs to support?

Question #3: What do you all think of their I2 software? Do you think they can take on SAP or are they going to lose the battle of the supply-chain software giants? I know somebody who worked for I2 and she said they were disorganized and behind schedule, but maybe SAP has the same problems. It's a big task they've set themselves to do.
