They are strongly coupled. The stock market is a leading indicator on the health of the economy.

The only thing I fear is a return to high inflation. If this doesn't materialize we will only see mild short lived corrections.

A weak dollar portends future inflation which implies a stronger yen and rising gold prices. Not in the cards IMO.
