I have to apologize to everyone for telling you a few weeks back that I would provide a reply later in the day, and then not following through. Well, in my defense, I had some serious computer problems that required me to wipe my hard drive clean and re-load everything. It took me a very long time to get all the proper discs sent to me, and work through the process of getting back on line. I am still working through the kinks, but at least I can function again. During this time, we also started our family holidays, and thankfully, my family wouldn't wait for me to get fully back on line (and up to speed) before we headed out to the wilderness. Just so you know, we are just back in for a day or so before heading back to the wilds for another week. Again, I apologize for not responding when I said I would but I did have my reasons. Now back to ANC! A number of people wrote me and told me that they believe that there is more going on under the covers with this company and its share prices. Here is a quick collection of an "edited" recap of some of more notable comments that were sent to me followed by my observations and comments . . . - "Management wanted to purchase the shares in the $.10 to $.12 range, but the shares ran up higher beyond the range that they wanted to pay for them" - "Buyers continue to clean up the $.17 shares and some parties keep loading up the $.17 ASK back up again. Can't see the reasoning behind someone dumping at $.17 because they could get more. These $.17 ASKS are definitely putting a damper on the stock activity." - "If there was dumping going on, then they could have sold me 40K shares for only $200 less than the $.17 ASK price but they held firm. With the amount of shares they have sold over the past few days, that $200 would have been of no consequence." - "There is definitely buying pressure here . . . There is also dampening pressure here . . . " - "Could there be a financing in the works . . . ?" - "Any time the ASK price rose to either $.18 or $18.5, (and the momentum seemed to get going, more blocks of stock were put up at $.17." - "Are there any options or non market warrants coming due?" - "Technically the stock is OVERSOLD, it is exhibiting a BUY signal, and the Money Flow Index is running high and positive. When one see these signals and the current stock activity appears to be divergent to them, then something is usually suspect." - "A key date is Aug 31st, 1999." - "The management of Angoss was given authorization to purchase up to 5% of the outstanding shares. Well then the best scenario would be for the price to go lower, the shares get accumulated, and then the share price goes higher." - "There seems to be an effort to put a psychological barrier to take away any momentum. There isn't really any dumping going on, it just seems that someone just wants to quietly lower the price." - "If the Trifox appeal of the court award to Angoss is dismissed, then Angoss will receive a sizeable award that will go straight to their bottom line" - "This is exactly what happened last year when someone put in a buyout offer for $.25".Now some of my observations and comments . . . - The Directors of the company just bought over 100 K shares each at an average price of over $.19. - In response to the question "Could their be a financing in the works?" . . . At the AGM, the shareholders gave the company authorization to issue an additional amount of up to 45% of the number of existing shares. These shares would be used by the management to as they deem necessary in order to generate cash or make an acquisition etc. - In response to the question "Are there any options or non market warrants coming due?" . . . There is still an outstanding debt of $80,000 that could still be converted for shares. Other than the normal employee options, there are some outstanding options valued at $.25 that will expire on Dec. 31st. - In response to the statement "A key date is Aug 31st, 1999" . . . This date is a Quarter end date. It is also a date by which the company who originally sold Angoss the Knowledge SEEKER application is to receive either cash or shares for this application. Rather than allow the company to convert their debt to shares, Angoss has declared that they have already secured the financing to pay cash to cancel this debt. - The company has shown an operating profit for the past three quarters. - The Trifox deal should not be overly anticipated as a potential cash windfall for the company. Their ability to pay a judgement against them has to factored into the equation. Angoss should be valued based on its current products, growing client list and revenue streams. - Agoss's new products are in beta test mode, a large U.S. based company is working with the company to test these new products. - The data mining market is heating up, and consolidation within the industry is now taking place. - The company is in better shape (financially, products in the queue, and market acceptance) than ever before. I understand why some organization(s) would want to purchase shares of this company at a lower price. My own share position has increased over the past while as well. All I want to do right now is to ensure that people understand what might be behind the share price action. I also want to stress that we may be missing something here and people may be seeing devils that don't exist. I also strongly recommend that everyone dig into the company's web site, the SEDAR site, and others to find out as much as you can on this company. Talk to your brokers, and look to their customer list to see if you might know anyone using their products etc.. If you find anything interesting, please post it so that we can discuss it and determine its relevance. For what it is worth, I have not wavered in my belief that this company's share price is greatly undervalued. I also believe that the company, and its share price, is very well positioned for future growth. The question I have is not if it will occur, but rather when will the share price properly reflect its true value and potential? Crazy Canuk
