Your overstate your case when you say:

I get your fundamental point. When I brought out the use of historical evaluation models, it was meant to point out just one aspect of how valuation models are developed. Certainly new industries do not follow these models, as historical data is lacking. Since there are so many industries and so many companies with different business models, the
idea of using a fixed valuation model fails.
