Forsee Resigns As Global One President, CEO
FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom (NYSE:FTE - news) and Sprint said in a joint statement Wednesday that Gary Forsee will resign as president and chief executive officer of Global One, their international joint venture, effective July 16.

Forsee, who was named to his position in February 1998, cited personal reasons and the desire to pursue other career options for leaving Global One. Prior to joining Global One, Forsee had been president and chief operating officer of Sprint's long distance operations.

Michel Huet, presently executive vice president for corporate services, will become chief executive of an interim executive committee responsible for implementing Global One's strategic objectives, Deutsche Telekom said.

Fred Rucker, executive vice president for sales and marketing, and Rex Stephenson, executive vice president for global operations, will also join the committee.

Global One, which operates in more than 65 countries, had sales last year of $1.1 billion.
