<What does this mean: "This company is the Rodney Dangerfield of companies........." ?>

Stephan, "it means this company....gets no respect" which is a comment the comedian Rodney Dangerfield was known for. Strinque was saying the writer of the article can't even get the name right.

I have the kurier article BTW. It displays the Turbodyne article right below a large article on the Audi TDI V6 and V8 which also talks about also discusses the BMW TDI V8. The article starts off with a very complimentary description of Prof. Peter Hofbauer (talks about his work with the Propulsion Research Institute in CA. and goes on to state the new electric turbocharger from Teledyne (AlliedSignal) are of interest to the TDI engine developers.

Here is a rough translation

Dr. Peter Hofbauer, Auslandsoesterreicher, Ex-VW-Motorenentwicklungschef, showed his new factory on the Viennese engine symposium: As a boss of the Propulsion Research of institutes in California it participates responsible in the development of the new electrical turbo of Teledyne (Allied signal). This turbo with small integrated electrical motor interests above all TDI developers: Owing to the electrical motor and thus earlier using of the turbo is today the turbo-hole still noticeable with TDI practically away. Became general the kaltstartverhalten (exhaust gases!) improves clearly. And still another the e-turbo has advantage: With him one can increase the recycling of exhaust gases rate clearly and lower thus the nitrogen oxide output. With normal turbo this is not possible, because the soot increases there strongly. And the price? The e-turbo is not more expensive than a turbo with variable turbine geometry, but various sensors and even the glow pins could be saved.
