NHP,

Everytime somebody does a piece on competing standards for flash memory I immediately think of that NY Times article that essentially classified CompactFlash as an afterthought. I still believe that somebody paid off the author of that article. I am saving the entire section so that one day I can frame the color photo that occupies almost the entire front page. Imagine that no CompactFlash card was depicted.

I am glad somebody is getting the story straight.

Thanks, Bloomberg.

NHP and Thread,

My favorite fantasy headlines...

1) "Lexar litigation settled favorably. SanDisk launches series of like suits against infringing card assemblers."

2) "Unable to cope with demand, Sony contracts SanDisk for production and assembly of high capacity MemoryStick for MP3 Digital Walkman."

3) "Digital Cameras, Color PDA's and MP3 players top the holiday wish list."

4) "SanDisk leads the pack with runaway sales of CompactFlash, MMC and SmartMedia. MemoryStick negotiations with Sony finalized."

5) "The miraculous microdrive proves too fragile for portable device usage. IBM concedes removable memory race to flash producers."
