At the NCTA convention a few weeks ago I heard Armstrong clearly articulate that they are not in the content business and don't want to be in the content business. He indicated that they will make their system open to content providers (ie, AOL) when they are presented with the right business deal. He clearly put the ball in AOL's court to make an appealing offer.

(I was sitting next to analysts from GS and MSDW when he stated this. You never saw folks pull out their cell phones so fast.)
