Yesterday I finally listened to the Bloomberg interview with Jeanette Wilcher's kid. The one last month after the Trust issued a news release. Something was wrong with the Bloomberg terminal, so that I could hardly hear the audio, even when it was turned up to its maximum. I had to hold the keyboard, where the speaker is located, up against my ear. People looked at me kind of funny when I sat there for 8 minutes with a keyboard glued to my ear, but it was worth it. The main value of listening is not hearing the kid's answers, but hearing how the kid avoided answering the questions. I got a sense of what the kid is like, and what the Trust is like, from his attitude and from reading between the lines of his refusals to answer the questions he was asked. David Evans asked a lot of questions that focused on the legitimacy of the Trust. I paraphrase some of them below: "what kind of entity is the Life Foundation Trust" "is that why the trust is not listed in a telephone directory" "where are the other offices of the Trust, the ones that the news release says are located elsewhere in the U.S" "who is the beneficiary of the Trust" "why is the Trust listed as the debtor for a reconditioned flight simulator" "what is the relationship between Simtech and the Trust" "is it true that the Trust has $1 B of assets" "can you name one charity that has received money from the Trust" "why won't you tell me the Trust's address" "what is your relationship to Jeanette Wilcher ... is she your Mom" "Can I talk with Jeanette Wilcher" The kind of answers he got were not straightforward and informative. They were evasive. Here are some responses that he used more than once: * I'm not at liberty to answer that (lots of questions got this kind of response, even the Mom question) * I don't have that information in front of me * "if that's what it said in the news release then it must be true", * "why are you asking me these questions. I thought we were going to talk about the news release", * all that will be given in the filings, or in "our next release" which he promised would come in a week. Yep, a week. We're still waiting, aren't we? I sure wish he would quit playing with the Trust's flight simulator and give us a news release to read. Maybe one that tells us about the postage stamps.
