The jury is still out, from where I sit.
Maybe this'll help the jury (thanks and a tip of the hat to Frank and FOTI)

"Many 'muffins' are unaware of the value of Abov. The reason MFNX was able to link up with Dave Rand and company was that Rand's (CTO) vision of the future included the requirement to be "fiber". Abov is in a huge growth phase at the moment, they have almost 250 000 sq feet of new space due to come on board in the near future. Most of the 65 000 sq feet due this fall (late fall) is already presold. They currently provide the most latent free internet connectivity in the business. They are the largest single IP point in the world today at 10.5Gbs. They have 257 peering arrangements around the world (you can't buy that anymore). They own one of the top internet exchanges in PAIX with capacity set to double and already sold.

They have proprietary technology that reroutes packets not by the shortest distance between two points(BGP) but by using the fastest latent free route between two points (ASAP).

Their facilties and redundant systems ensure over 99% up time for content providers. They carry 100% headroom on all their connections to ensure available bandwidth for all their customers during peak usage. They suffer less than 1% packet loss while the industry standard is over 20%. They are the leading carrier of voice over IP, audio and video streaming data.

The bulk of their facilities have come on line in the last quarter, with 4 times that coming on line by the end of the year and all sold. They host the largest mail server in the world with Hotmail and they host Netcenter.

They are in negotiations to bring a major portal site on line in the next few months. Their growth rate is pegged at 50% per quarter right now and will probably exceed that late this year.

They have 300 million in cash and combined with the fiber that will now be available to them will be the most "connected " co-location supplier in the world with unheard of access to fiber.

This one's a no brainer folks.

While Abov may look like some little toy MFNX just bought for 1.5 billion dollars, the combination will bring the competion to it's knees and force others into similar mergers.

While the bubble may have burst for the next 60 days or so we will all be much happier shareholders in the near future. These are people dedicated to dominating their field and this is just another phase in the development of that plan.

FOTI (Formerly On The Inside)"
(and thanks yahoo! boards)
ps- Frank; I don't have the tech. background to read the abov(e) in a
critical manner. Is it really as exciting as it seems to me?
