IMHO, recommending Michael Murphy's newsletter is not good advice.

WHY? His track record for the past two years is downright horrible!

His advice lately has been downright horrible. When the advice is good, he advises people to sell before the stock begins to head north. Listening to him with his weekly updates drives home the point that he is fed his information by others and that he truly does not have a solid grasp on the fundamentals of the science. When is he trying to explain something, he often stumbles. This leads me to the conclusion that he is recommending something that he truly doesn't know.

The point of the above is that he is relying on the research and advice of others and is not doing the hands-on work to truly make a solid decision. In addition, he revamped his presentation of stocks to cover up the bad decisions made in the past.

I will say this about him: He does know how the markets will react to overall situations. His analysis of the market from August through December last year was very good. His guidance was prudent and informative.
