Yes and no. One of my group has received their Medinah Gold certs with their Medinah Mining shares in street name from Etrade. However the reason for this appears to be that they had just recently mailed their Medinah Mining certs in to Etrade so perhaps they weren't technically in street name. Nobody else that I know have has received their MG shares who had their Medinah Mining in street name. Cheers.

I visited my broker today and wish to relay what he said to me without revealing the brokerage name. I want to add that I walked out of the office feeling they didn't want help me in getting my certs, that they wanted to convince me to leave them in my account instead of taking what I had a right to take possession of, and that they wanted me distracted from my original purpose in coming into their office today.

One thing I found disturbing, and which he continually elaborated upon was that soon companies will not be issuing certificates, and stockholders will not be receiving certificates for stocks purchased. It will be an electronically driven market free of the paper intensive burden brokers now deal with. He also said he was confused about my desire to have certificates, as the only real group of stock holders currently wanting to have their certificates in hand, are the OLDER GENERATION who remember the depression and/or experienced the market crash from that period.

If anyone is interested in the less than satisfactory dialogue, I chose to post a URL to save thread space here. Enjoy!

Would anyone care to comment whether they are having similar experiences/dialogues?

Thanks in advance for any input you can add,

Carol
