Signs Partnership Agreement With Siebel to Extend its Leadership in Customer Relationship Management (CRM)Solutions JULY 12, 1999 LGS MONTREAL, QUEBEC--LGS Group Inc. is pleased to announce that it has signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Siebel Systems whereby LGS becomes a Strategic Consulting Partner, the highest level of partnership offered by Siebel. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions focus on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of any interaction that customers experience with an organization. These solutions typically include marketing, sales force automation, customer loyalty, customer service and call centre support functions. In a market where customer service is increasingly the differentiator for an organization over its competitors, CRM solutions can provide unique, innovative capabilities that maximize that experience. This happens through a variety of mediums such as person to person, Internet, fax, call centre, interactive voice response, electronic mail, video conferencing, and so on. This service differentiation will result in increased revenues, lower costs and a significant improvement in overall customer satisfaction and loyalty. To respond to the significant demand from its customers for a complete CRM solution, LGS will train and certify over 300 consultants on Siebel Front Office applications. "This strategic partnership with Siebel will complement LGS' existing capability of over 150 consultants who deliver CRM solutions today " said Raymond Lafontaine, President of LGS Group Inc. "Our new CRM practice brings out a strong synergy with our ecommerce+ unit and should become in itself a substantial part of our business within the next four years" he added. "LGS is our first Strategic Consulting Partner to be headquartered in Canada", said Robert Douglas, General Manager and Vice President of Siebel Canada. "Our Canadian customers will welcome a national Siebel consulting practice with a strong local presence in most Canadian provinces. Together, Siebel and LGS will be able to offer mutual customers a complete solution that significantly enhances every interaction that their clients experience with them", added Mr. Douglas. "This comprehensive capability will allow both companies to capitalize on a market opportunity that is growing at a rate of over 50 percent per year and is expected to exceed the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) market by 2002", said Douglas. LGS Group Inc. (LGSA at NASDAQ, LGS.A at ME) is one of Canada's largest information technology consulting firms specializing in management and systems integration. With annual sales of $230 million, LGS employs more than 2,200 professionals in 20 offices in Canada, the United States and Europe. The company is active in most areas of the private and public sectors.
