*WirelessKnowledge* Clark, what an excellent, succinct explanation. Somehow that is very clear whereas all the WK press releases leave one in somewhat of a fog with that general idea. Maybe they are trying to say what it does for you - you can contact your corporate intranet while on the run, rather than how it does it, which is what I prefer to know. I know Ramsey dislikes the gizzards of these things, but if I know how it does it, I can figure out how good it will be. WK is going to be very, very important. Secure communications are going to be vital as the Web takes over everything which can go wireless rather than by wheelbarrow. Qualcomm has Condor readying for takeoff. It is going to be big time. $ill Gates himself said that WK was going to be very big. Although many love to hate him and claim he doesn't innovate, that doesn't take away the good that he does = identify really hot stuff and use his money and marketing to make it happen big and fast. Irwin knows that too. As a kid [about 9], my 8 year older brother suggested he and I have a bomb club. He said I could put up the money and he would put up the brains. Well, I was smart enough to know a good deal when I heard it and that was the beginning of many explosions. Later, having learned the techniques, I went on to form my own bomb club. Also, a marble firing gun club. Irwin has said to $ill, "You put up the money and Q! will put up the brains and let's make a WK club". $ill knows a good deal when he sees it. Since it was good, here's what you wrote about WK for those who missed it: <Have you ever used MS Exchange? MS Exchange can be used over networks to coordinate schedules (i.e. appointments etc.), contact lists and e-mail between different users. It is somewhat like Lotus Notes. But Exchange (and Lotus Notes) both require wired networks to allow the user's client to talk to the server because they are bandwidth hogs. Thus, they cannot be used over a wireless network. This is the market that WK is addressing - they are attempting to thin down the connection between the client and server so that it will work on a wireless connection and they are making multiple versions of the client so that it will run on multiple platforms. They are also addressing the security issue inre allowing the client to communicate through the corporate firewall. The WK revenue stream will be generated not via sales of product, but via service costs and per minute fees as data is transmitted. > Meanwhile, yayy for Alan Green$pan. I watched all his presentation to the politicians. I disagree with most of you. I think he's excellent. Not arrogant. Confident, sure. Knows he doesn't know heaps. Let's hope for another round of interest rate increases. Another quarter in a month or two. We need to keep those holding cash thinking they are getting a good deal with derisory interest rates of about 5% while The New Paradigm roars ahead. We don't want them ditching cash and going for stocks. The system is a money pump from those holding cash to The Fed and tax collectors. The government collects a lovely big chunk of that interest rate increase by way of taxation. Those who don't feel confident investing in The New Paradigm themselves, and rightly so if you watch people invest in Iridium and many of the internet stocks, need to be able to work and save and keep their savings as money, which they lend out to people [like me] who are confident in giving it to the brains in the bomb clubs. Go Q! Mqurice [Don't forget the drop to 8222 by 21 July].
