slacker - Nokia Operating Margins:

Lately they have been booming since their main competition in handsets (Ericsson and to a lesser extent Motorola) has been faltering. Their OM now stands at an incredible, and probably unsustainable, 24%. I'll be happy if the Q gets to the high teens (or equivalently a GM>25%).

Q fiscal YE is 9/30/99, so I assume the first quarter '99 is still in front of us.

BTW today is the last day for everyone who is holding out to buy their thin phones, and make them count in the third quarter. Make us proud on 7/20 <g>
