Did anyone else walk through the Streaming Media East '99 exhibition?

I observed really good traffic at the TVontheWeb booth - lots of interested people stopping and talking. I watched a live feed interview with Dave going out over TVontheWeb and watched and listened to Dave do the panel discussion. Very effective - very likeable - much more so than the other panelists, one of whom had an incredible attitude. Spoke briefly to him, asked about "juggernaut", got the usual no comment answer, which is what I expected. We talked about the iNEXTV announcement & webcast from the day before - they all felt Ed was extremely effective and were excited by it. They said currently 37 (?) channels with 75 by year end being the business model. No limit to the number of channels they could put up

That's the good news

The bad news is...

The TVontheWeb booth was unimpressive. Another example of where "spending money to make money" would be appropriate imho. On a scale of 1-10 with the IBeam, MS, & many other booths being 10's, I'm afraid that hanging up one color banner with TVontheWeb and having tables with equipment set up on them doesn't make it! TVontheWeb Booth Score = 1.5 IMO

God I hate being negative, but these guys have got to get it together with their image presentation in situations like this. Spent $5-10,000 and have a real booth with large TV's with channel feeds that will catch peoples attention and draw focus. That would be chump change to get a great traffic and draw in potential clients in situations like this.

If I weren't had not been looking for it and didn't know what TVontheWeb was I would have gone right by.

I hope someone else was there and had a different reaction!
