Dear GV: I am talking FUTURE growth the past is over and ancient history. Stock gets priced for the future. As to the period going forward EMC has only given guidance through the end of 2001. Which I suppose is about 2 1/2 years. That sure is more though then I normally hear from other stocks I own. Also remember we are talking ONLY large Caps. Also, if you are comparing PE's of companies I suppose you should only include "Gorillas" as they are normally priced differently than their inferiors. JDN
