To all, gloom & doomers on Frontline. BTW William Greider's book was a good read and I disagree with Jeffrey Sachs about going off the gold standard playing an important role in curing the Great Depression. WWII ended the depression in America. pbs.org again from fiendbear. mike

Michael,

I've noticed futures on Japan Government Bonds (JGB) trade on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, as well as options on those futures. LIFFE has a JGB futures product as well, but it closes out daily based on the opening futures price in Tokyo. Is there any substantial impediment to trading futures or options in Tokyo?

There seems to be a neutral bias to a bubble economy.<g>
