TIG,

Let me know how your luck is in the next couple. My brother did the same thing last night, because he had to leave the house. He had a clean account prior though, and did not get an AR.

In your case, I would think it was just the lottery, but with me getting 200 shares, makes me wonder!

Good luck!

Mike

The crime I committed was I sent Wit a "fake" I confirm email for JNPR because I was so desperate to get some that night. I cut and pasted to make it look like it was a real AR. I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN.

I did the same thing, but still got 100 NPLS allocated. I don't think the fake email is taken notice of...

Tig, I wouldn't worry about the fake e-mail...

You are not alone. <g> A number of people got DJ'd last night after confirming an AR. And another reply to your message states that they faked a JNPR confirm as well, and did get shares of NPLS last night.

I figure they have a database of all the ARs they send, and as the confirmations come in, they're matched up with the records in that database. If no match is found, I'm sure they're ignored. After all, it's entirely possible to have mail server problems and not know if you actually received an AR, but not wanting to chance it you go ahead and confirm.

Do we know for sure this screws up accounts? I've done the same thing, even on my good account. :(

EDIT:

Nevermind, I read further posts.

not so my friend, I think that the reason you didn't get NPLS is that Wit didn't get a lot of it... and either by lottery or FCFS, you were not one of the lucky ones...

better luck next time...

Hi -- This is Mrs. Aloha.

My husband let me read this post and I got a big kick out of it. I'm still laughing.
My husband did a similar thing on his account.
By the way, I got the additional 100 shares of NPLS and he didn't.
